This guide is a discipleship tool for social workers, counselors, pastors, and mentors to use with a parent or caregiver who has a child with a disability. It will help you (the guide) to lead a parent (or another person) through a journey to finding value in their child with disability. The goal of the guide is that the parent/person can work through biases, commonly held assumptions, and false beliefs while moving towards a biblical understanding of disability and inherent value as well as a life of care, friendship, and advocacy.
